Tropical Storm Philippe will become extra tropical and absorbed into a front over the Western Atlantic by Sunday evening. In addition, the rapidly deepening storm over the Mid-Atlantic Coast will move northward into Eastern Canada by Monday afternoon into evening. Rain,heavy at times, will develop over parts of the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic/Lower Great Lakes Sunday evening into Monday afternoon. Overnight Sunday, light snow will develop over the highest elevations of the Central Appalachians. The rain will end over the Mid-Atlantic by Monday afternoon, too. Rain will continue over parts of the Northeast Monday afternoon into Monday evening. Overnight Monday, light rain showers will develop over parts of the Lower Great Lakes into Northern New England, tapering off by Tuesday morning.
