A front extending from the Northern Appalachians/Ohio Valley to Lower Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains will move off the Northeast and Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Friday evening and off the Carolinas by Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Southern Ohio Valley to the Lower Mississippi Valley that will move to the Mid-Atlantic to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Friday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will continue over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Central/Southern Appalachians and the Mid-Atlantic through Saturday evening. In addition, rain will develop along the front from parts of the Lower Great Lakes to the Northern Ohio Valley that will move off the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by late Friday evening. Meanwhile, another front extending from the Northern High Plains roughly westward to Northern California/Pacific Northwest will slowly move southward to the Central Plains and approximately westward to the Great Basin by Saturday evening.
