A front extending from the Carolinas roughly westward to the Southern High Plains will slowly move southeastward off most of the Southeast Coast and the Gulf Coast by Wednesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys into parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley that will move eastward off the Southeast Coast by Wednesday morning. Rain will develop over parts of the Central Appalachians/Northern Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday moving off the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast overnight Tuesday. On Tuesday evening, moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will move northwestward over the Southern Plains through Wednesday evening. Upper-level energy over the Great Basin/Central Rockies and Southern California will move southeastward to the Southern Plains by Wednesday into Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southern Plains overnight Tuesday that will expand into the Lower Mississippi Valley by Wednesday morning and into the Southeast by Wednesday evening. In addition, rain will also develop parts of the Southern Plains overnight Tuesday and into parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and the Southeast Wednesday into Wednesday evening. The aforementioned upper-level energy over the Central Rockies will also produce snow and lower elevation rain over parts of the Central Rockies and into parts of the Southern Rockies along with parts of the Southern/Central High Plains on Tuesday ending on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, lake effect snow will develop over parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Additionally, a front over South-Central Canada will move into the Upper Midwest overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
