The Pacific Northwest will remain in an active, wet pattern through the weekend. A series of low pressure systems will usher in rain to the coastal areas... with mountain snow developing as the snow levels decrease. Moderate to heavy accumulations will be possible across the Northern Cascades... spreading to the Northern Rockies as the system pushes inland. Accumulations are expected to be on the lighter side for the Rockies. Above-average temperatures will be observed across much of the central U.S. today... with several locations ranging from to 10 to 20 degrees warmer. Across the eastern U.S. temperatures will remain slightly cooler than average as a cold front and secondary front sweeps through. Rain will linger along a slow-moving frontal boundary near Florida.
