Low pressure over Northern New England will move northeastward into the Canadian Maritimes by Sunday morning, Christmas Eve, while developing area of low develops over the Southeast. Snow, rain, and freezing rain, mixed will develop over parts of Northern New England on Saturday evening that will change over to areas of rain and snow overnight Saturday over Northern New England. These areas of rain/snow will come to an end over the Northeast by Sunday morning. Snow will also develop over parts of the Lower Great Lakes/Eastern Ohio Valley that will wane by late Saturday night. In addition, rain will develop over Southern New England into the Northern Mid-Atlantic that will, likewise, end by Sunday morning. Rain and a few embedded thunderstorms will develop along the associated front over parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast that will move off the coast Sunday morning into afternoon.
