A strong upper-level trough extending from the Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley will move eastward off the Eastern Seaboard by Thursday morning. Snow will develop over parts of the Northeast southwestward to parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Western Gulf Coast that will move eastward to Mid-Atlantic/Southeast by Wednesday morning, while expanding northward into New England. The snow will end over the Mid-Atlantic by late Wednesday evening. On Wednesday, the snow will become heavy at times over New England becoming light snow by Wednesday evening and ending overnight Wednesday. In addition, along the parts of the Western/Central Gulf Coast, rain/freezing rain/sleet will develop on Tuesday evening that will move eastward overnight Tuesday to the Eastern Gulf Coast by Wednesday morning.
