A wave of low pressure over Central Appalachians will move eastward of the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday morning. The system will produce mainly rain with some embedded thunderstorms over parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys into the Southern Mid-Atlantic moving off the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday morning. The associated front will trail westward into the Southern Plains through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from the Southern Plains to the Eastern Gulf Coast that will tapper off to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains by Sunday morning. In the meantime, a upper-level energy moving around a deep upper-level trough over Central California will move eastward to the Lower/Middle Mississippi Valley and the Southern Plains by Monday. The storm will produce rain and higher elevation snow over the Pacific Northwest into California with snow over the Great Basin into the Northern/Central Rockies that will end by Sunday morning over California. Rain and higher elevations snow will continue over the Pacific Northwest Coast through Monday morning. Snow will also continue over parts of the Northern Rockies through Monday. Overnight Saturday, snow will move into parts of the Southwest and the Central/Southern Rockies by Sunday morning. The snow will move into the Northern/Central High Plains while continuing over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies by Sunday evening.
