A storm over the Northern/Central High Plains will move southeastward to the Lower Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys by Saturday evening. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Great Basin and the Northern/Central Rockies along with the Northern Plains on Friday morning. The snow and rain will end over parts of the Northern Rockies by Friday afternoon and over the Great Basin/Central Rockies overnight Friday. Rain and snow will move into parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Friday evening that will continue to expand southeastward into the Ohio Valley into the Central Appalachians by Saturday morning into evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central Plains by Friday evening moving into the Middle Mississippi Valley by Saturday morning and into the Tennessee Valley by Saturday evening. In addition, rain will move into parts of the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic on Saturday morning into Saturday evening. Meanwhile, a deep upper-level low just off the Northwest Coast will eject areas of upper-level energy into the Pacific Northwest/Northern Rockies and parts of Northern California by Saturday evening. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest/Northern California on Friday morning that will slowly expand eastward into Northern Intermountain Region by Friday evening. As the upper-level low begins to move inland, the snow levels lower to near the coast over the Pacific Northwest overnight Friday into Saturday. Snow will also develop over parts of the Sierras overnight Friday expanding into parts of the Northern Rockies by Saturday evening.
