A storm over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley will move southeastward to the Southeast by Sunday morning and off the Southeast Coast by Sunday evening. The system will produce snow over parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and the Northern Plains southeastward across parts of the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians on Saturday. The snow will end over the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Saturday night and over the Ohio Valley by Sunday morning. On Saturday morning, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Western Gulf Coast that will expand into the Southeast overnight Saturday and linger over the Gulf Coast through Sunday evening. Likewise, rain will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley on Saturday expanding into parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast by Saturday evening. The rain will end over the Middle Mississippi overnight Saturday and over the Southern Mid-Atlantic by Sunday evening. A narrow ribbon of rain/freezing rain will develop along the transition zone from rain and snow over parts of the Middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys through Saturday night. Meanwhile, an upper-level low just off the Pacific Northwest Coast will slowly weaken while moving inland to the Northern Rockies/Great Basin by Sunday evening. The storm will produce rain and higher elevation snow over the Pacific Northwest into parts of Central California with snow developing over parts of the Northern Rockies into parts of the Great Basin on Saturday morning. Overnight Saturday, the snow will move into parts of the Central Rockies and Northern Plains with pockets of rain developing over parts of the Northern/Central Plains by Sunday morning. The rain and snow will move into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening. Additionally overnight Saturday, moisture from the Western Gulf of Mexico will travel northward over the Plains into Sunday evening. On Sunday, rain and showers/thunderstorm will develop over parts of the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley and parts of the Western Gulf Coast that will continue over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains through Sunday evening.
