Upper-level energy over the Northern High Plains moves eastward to the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region/Northern Rockies into parts of the Northern Plains will end over the Northern Intermountain Region/Northern Rockies by Tuesday afternoon. Also on Tuesday, the showers and thunderstorms will move into the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and into the Southern Plains Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. Overnight Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms move into parts of the Upper Great Lakes and the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys. Meanwhile, and upper-level low over the Southern Appalachians/Southern Mid-Atlantic will slowly weaken while moving to the Mid-Atlantic Coast by Wednesday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Appalachians and the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast that will weaken overnight Monday. The upper-level energy will aid in developing diurnal showers and thunderstorms over the Appalachians on Tuesday that will, likewise, weaken overnight Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Mid-Atlantic Coast through Wednesday morning. Additionally, upper-level energy over the Eastern Pacific will begin to move onshore over the Pacific Northwest overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Rain will begin to develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast Tuesday afternoon. The rain will move inland to parts of the Northern Intermountain Region/Northern Rockies with some embedded thunderstorms by Wednesday.
