A front extending from the Northeast southwestward across the Lower Great Lakes into the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains will be quasi-stationary and dissipates by Saturday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from parts of the Northeast into the Middle Mississippi Valley through Saturday evening. A second front extending from the Mid-Atlantic southwestward across the Tennessee Valley into part of the Southern Plains will be quasi-stationary from the Tennessee Valley to the Southern Plains through Sunday. The eastern parts of the boundary will lift northward into the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Saturday evening into Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front from the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern Plains through Sunday. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin into parts of the Central/Southern Rockies through Saturday evening. The greatest coverage of the showers and thunderstorms will be during the late afternoon into the late evening on Friday and Saturday. In addition, a front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest by Friday evening and move inland to parts of the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies into parts of the Great Basin by Saturday evening. The system will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region late Friday night into Saturday evening.
