A quasi-stationary front extending from Southern New England southwestward across the Ohio Valley into the Southern Plains will slowly dissipate over the Northeast into the Central Plains by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from parts of the Northeast to the Southern Plains through Sunday evening, too. A second front extending from the Mid-Atlantic southwestward to the Southern Plains will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms across the region also through Sunday evening. In addition, an upper-level low over Texas will be quasi-stationary through Monday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over Texas and parts of the Southern High Plains also through Monday. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin and parts of the Central/Southern Rockies through Sunday evening. The areal coverage will be greatest during the late afternoon into the late evening on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, a front over the Pacific Northwest/Northern Intermountain Region will move eastward to the Northern Plains southwestward into the Great Basin by Sunday evening. The boundary will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest into parts of the Northern Rockies through Sunday morning.
