Gordon has become an extratropical low that will move northeastward to parts of the Ohio Valley by Sunday night into Monday. The system will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain at times over parts of the Middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys that will move northeastward extending from parts of the Ohio Valley to parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Sunday evening into Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop along the associated front from parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Southern Plains that will move eastward to the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys into parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and the Western Gulf Coast by Sunday evening. Additionally, a quasi-stationary front extending from parts of the Ohio Valley eastward to the Mid-Atlantic Coast will also trigger showers and thunderstorm over the region through Sunday evening, too. Furthermore, tropical moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic through Sunday evening into Monday. Meanwhile, a front over parts of the Northern Rockies into the Great Basin will slowly move eastward to the Northern Plains by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary over parts of the Northern Plains into the Northern Rockies that will move eastward into parts of the Northern/Central Plains by Sunday evening. In addition, weak onshore flow will aid in producing light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Sunday evening.
