Upper-level energy over the Southwest/Great Basin will slowly move eastward to parts of the Central Plains to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Friday evening. Moisture flowing northwestward out of the Gulf of Mexico aided by the upper-level energy will producing rain and snow over parts of the Great Basin will slowly move into parts of the Central Rockies by Thursday evening, ending by Friday afternoon. Rain will develop over parts of the Southern High Plains that will move into the Southern Plains by Friday morning and into parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Ohio Valley by Friday evening. The rain will end over the Southern High Plains by Friday morning. In addition, the onshore flow off the Western Gulf of Mexico will also aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Western Gulf Coast through Friday evening. Furthermore, easterly flow off the Atlantic will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of Florida through Friday evening, too. Meanwhile, an upper-level trough over the Northeast will aid in producing light snow and rain over parts of Northern New England through Thursday evening. A front moving southeastward from Central Canada will move to the Upper Great Lakes to parts of the Southern High Plains by Friday evening. The boundary will aid in producing rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley on Friday morning that will move into the Great Lakes by Friday evening.
