A strong storm over the Central Gulf Coast will move eastward to the Southeast Coast by Sunday morning then move northeastward out over the Atlantic Ocean by Monday morning. The system will produce rain and snow over the northwestern edge of the precipitation shield over parts of the interior Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley that will change over to areas of rain/freezing rain overnight Saturday over parts of the Tennessee and Southern Ohio Valleys. Also overnight Saturday, rain/freezing rain and snow will develop over parts of the Southern Appalachians/Southern Mid-Atlantic continuing through Monday morning. The snow will be heavy at times. Along the associated cold front, heavy rain will develop over parts of the Central Gulf Coast into parts of the Tennessee Valley overnight Saturday that will, likewise, move eastward to the Southeast Coast by Sunday morning then off the coast by Sunday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Florida on Sunday morning, ending by overnight Sunday. Meanwhile, a front over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore over Northwest and Northern California overnight Sunday. A head of the front, rain will move onshore on Sunday afternoon over the Pacific Northwest Coast that will move inland. Rain and higher elevation snow will develop over the Northwest/Northern California by Sunday evening with snow expanding into the Northern Intermountain Region overnight Sunday into Monday. Additionally, a front will move into the Northeast Sunday evening into Monday. Light snow will develop over parts of the Northeast through early Monday morning.
