Winter storm over the Mid-Atlantic will slowly wind down as low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic Coast moves northeastward out over the Western Atlantic Sunday night. Snow over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Western Ohio Valley will slowly wind down overnight Sunday. Snow and rain associated with the system will, likewise, slowly wind down over the Mid-Atlantic through Monday morning. Rain over the Tennessee Valley will also wind down by Monday morning. The snow over the Southern Ohio Valley and the Central Appalachians will linger over parts of the Central Appalachians through Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Southwest will weaken over the area. Lower elevation rain and snow over parts of the Southwest/Southern Rockies will end by Monday morning. In addition, a front over Southern Canada will move into parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Monday that will retreat back northward into Ontario overnight Monday. Snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Monday continuing into Tuesday morning. An upper-level low off the California Coast will begin to move onshore over California overnight Sunday that will show signs of weakening by Tuesday morning. The storm will begin to produce rain over parts of the California Coast overnight Sunday. As the rain moves inland snow will start to develop over the Southern Sierras on Monday afternoon.
