Upper-level energy over the Great Basin will move roughly northeastward to Central Ontario just north of Lakes Superior by Thursday evening. The energy will aid in producing snow over parts of the Central Rockies/Great Basin into parts of the Central High Plains that will wind down by Wednesday evening. Snow will also develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes overnight Tuesday ending by Wednesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the associated front and dryline from parts of the Ohio Valley into the Southern Plains that will continue over the area through Thursday evening. Overnight Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms will expand into parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic and into parts of the Northeast continuing into Thursday. On Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will expand into parts of the Central Appalachians. Additionally, rain over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley will expand into parts of the Great Lakes on Tuesday evening that will move into parts of the Lower Great Lakes overnight Tuesday and continue to expand into parts of the Northeast on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, rain will develop over parts of the Northern Plains and expand into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley by Wednesday evening with the rain ending over the Northern Plains on Thursday morning. The rain will move into parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Thursday. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Central Plains on Wednesday evening moving into the Middle Mississippi Valley by Thursday. Meanwhile overnight Wednesday, tropical moisture from the Atlantic will move inland over Florida and into parts of Georgia on Thursday. Diurnal heating and the moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the area Wednesday evening into Thursday evening.
