A front extending from the Northeast across the Northern Mid-Atlantic into the Tennessee Valley westward to the Central High Plains will move off the most of the East Coast by Monday morning. The southern end of the boundary moves to the Gulf Coast overnight Sunday that will linger over the Gulf Coast through Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northeast southwestward into the Central Appalachians/Tennessee Valley that will move off the East Coast by Monday afternoon. In addition, weak upper-level impulses moving along the western end of the aforementioned front will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Central/Southern High Plains. The showers and thunderstorms will move eastward out over the Central/Southern Plains overnight Sunday and lift northward into the Northern Plains and the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday evening. Furthermore, the showers and thunderstorms will expand eastward into the Great Lakes on Tuesday and into parts of the Northeast by Tuesday evening. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central/Southern High Plains on Monday evening moving into the Middle Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening. Another area of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central/Southern Plains on Sunday evening moving into parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley overnight Sunday. Meanwhile, a quasi-stationary upper-level low over California/Great Basin inch slightly eastward to the Southwest/Northwestern Mexico by Tuesday evening. The upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of California, Great Basin, and into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region through Tuesday. The area of thunderstorms will have a diurnal component with the maximum areal coverage during the late afternoon into late evening and with a minimum during the late night into the late morning on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, moisture moving northward over the Western Gulf of Mexico will move into Southern Texas on Monday evening that will aid with developing showers and thunderstorms over the Western Gulf Coast on Tuesday into Tuesday evening.
