An upper-level low will interact with tropical moisture over parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys, Southeast, Southern/Central Appalachians, and the Southern Mid-Atlantic to produce showers and thunderstorms over the region through Sunday afternoon. On Sunday evening the upper-level low will weaken and move northward into the Great Lakes moving into Eastern Ontario overnight Sunday. On Sunday, the showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic and into parts of the Great Lakes on Sunday evening into Monday. A front over the Upper Mississippi Valley into the Northern/Central Plains then into parts of the Central Rockies and the Great Basin will move eastward to the Great Lakes to the Tennessee Valley and southward to the Western Gulf Coast/Lower Mississippi Valley by Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary over the Northern/Central Plains and the Upper Mississippi Valley into parts of the Central High Plains that will move eastward to the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and into the Southern Plains by Sunday afternoon. By Sunday evening, the showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley southwestward into parts of the Southern Plains. The front will intersect the tropical moisture on Sunday evening over the Great Lakes into the Southeast producing showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Lower Great Lakes into the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys and the Southeast that will move eastward into the Lower Great Lakes southward into the Central/Southern Appalachians and the Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast by Monday evening. In addition on Sunday evening, rain will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley that will move eastward into Ontario by Sunday evening. As the western end of the front settles over the Southern Plains, showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Southern Plains, Sunday evening, expanding into parts of the Southern Rockies on Monday into Monday evening. Elsewhere, on Saturday evening rain and highest elevation snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies associated with the energy from the aforementioned front over the Upper Midwest that will end overnight Saturday.
