The southern edge of the Westerlies extends from the Pacific Northwest to the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast through Thursday. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will stream northward over Lower Mississippi Valley and the Tennessee Valley pooling a long the southern edge of the Westerlies over the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic. Additional moisture will come off the Atlantic into the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic Tuesday evening into Wednesday afternoon. Upper-level energy extending from Central Gulf Coast into the Tennessee/Ohio Valleys into parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic will slowly move eastward of the East Coast by Wednesday evening. The moisture, energy, and the southern edge of the Westerlies will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic into the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys into parts of the Central Gulf Coast that will, likewise, slowly move off the East Coast by Wednesday evening. An area of upper-level energy over the Upper Midwest will move eastward into Eastern Ontario by Tuesday evening followed by several weaker impulses into Wednesday into Wednesday evening. The energy will aid in producing rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes that will move into Ontario late Tuesday night. Additional rain will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday morning expanding into the Great Lakes on Wednesday afternoon, dissipating overnight Wednesday. Multiple areas of upper-level energy extending from parts of the Central/Southern High Plains into the Eastern Great Basin will slowly move eastward into the Middle Mississippi Valley and consolidate overnight Tuesday. The energy will move into the Ohio Valley Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central/Southern High Plains slowly moving into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday moving into the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys by Thursday. In addition, weak front will move into parts of the Northeast on Wednesday into Thursday. The boundary will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northeast Wednesday into Thursday. Meanwhile, tropical moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of Florida Tuesday into Thursday. Also, daytime heating and moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies through to early Wednesday morning. Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, upper-level energy will move southeastward out of Western Canada into the Pacific Northwest moving into the Northern High Plains by Thursday. Rain will develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region on Wednesday continuing into Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains on Wednesday moving into the Northern Plains by Thursday.
