Cold high pressure over the Lower Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley will move into the Mid-Atlantic by Friday evening. While another area of cold high pressure will move southeastward from the Northern Rockies to the Southern Plains by Saturday morning and into parts of the Ohio Valley by Sunday. There is an elevated to critical risk of Fire Weather over part of Southern California. Santa Ana winds continue will continue to diminish gradually on Friday, with wind gusts generally ranging between 25 and 35 mph across the mountains of Los Angeles. Northeasterly winds at 15 to 25 mph and low relative humidity have combined together to produce favorable conditions to issue Red Flag Warnings over parts of Southern California. In the wake of deep storm that moved out of the Northeast, light snow and rain showers will develop over parts of the Lower Great Lakes and the Northeast through Friday afternoon. In addition, a front over the Upper Mississippi Valley southwestward to the Southern High Plains will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic that will merge with a front off the Southeast Coast on Sunday. The system will produce light snow over parts of the Upper Midwest and rain showers over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley on Friday evening. The area of light snow and rain will move into parts of the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley overnight Friday that will slowly move into parts of the Lower Great Lakes and dissipate overnight Saturday. Another weak front will move into the Upper Midwest from Canada on Saturday evening into Sunday. The system will produce scattered areas of light snow and rain over parts of the Upper Midwest on Saturday into Sunday.
