Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 234 PM EST Sun Nov 3 2019 Valid 00Z Mon Nov 4 2019 - 00Z Wed Nov 6 2019 ...Relatively uneventful weather pattern across the nation... Broad cyclonic flow aloft over the north-central U.S. will aid in some lake effect rain and snow showers downwind of the Great Lakes as cold air rushes across the relatively warmer waters. A few inches of snow accumulation will be possible across the elevated terrain of northern Michigan. Snow showers are also likely for the northern Rockies as an Alberta clipper tracks southward across the northern Plains. Elsewhere across the continental U.S., a relatively uneventful weather pattern is expected to continue through the beginning of the week, with most areas remaining precipitation free with high pressure in place. Most locations east of the Rockies should have below average temperatures, except warmer than average across Florida. Air stagnation will be an issue across interior portions of the Pacific Northwest, particularly in sheltered valley locations. This will lead to reduced air quality early in the week with no major weather systems expected. Hamrick Graphics available at www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/basicwx/basicwx_ndfd.php
