A deep upper-level low over the Great Basin will move eastward to the Western Ohio Valley by Saturday evening. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Great Basin, Central/Southern Rockies, and the Southwest with the rain ending by Friday morning and the snow by overnight Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley ending by Saturday morning. Rain will develop along the associated front overnight Thursday over parts of the Lower/Middle Mississippi Valley and parts of the Tennessee Valley that will expand into parts of the Ohio Valley on Friday into Friday evening. Also on Friday, rain will develop over parts of the Central Appalachians/Mid-Atlantic ending by Friday evening. Another round of rain will move into the Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians into the Southeast on Saturday evening into overnight Saturday. Light snow will develop over parts of the Northern Ohio Valley Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. Furthermore, there is a possibility of a band of rain/freezing rain developing over the Middle Mississippi Valley on Friday evening into Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a front over the Great Lakes extending southwestward to the Southern Plains will move eastward off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Friday evening. The storm will produce rain and snow over parts of the Upper Great Lakes with the rain and snow ending by Friday afternoon. Rain over the Ohio Valley will move eastward into the Lower Great Lakes and into parts of the Northeast overnight Thursday. Rain will move into parts of New England on Friday with rain changing to snow over the Lower Great Lakes on Friday afternoon with the snow moving into New England by Friday evening ending overnight Friday. Elsewhere on Friday, onshore flow off the Pacific will start late Friday afternoon. By Saturday morning, light rain will develop over parts of the Olympic Peninsula into parts of the Northern Cascades into Saturday evening.
