Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees below average over parts of the Upper Midwest... A front extending from the Upper Great Lakes southwestward to the Southern High Plains will merge with a front coming out of the Southern Rockies by Monday evening. The boundary will move eastward off the East Coast and the Gulf Coast by Wednesday. The system will produce snow over parts of the Upper Midwest that will end over the Upper Mississippi Valley by Monday evening and continue through Tuesday morning over the Upper Great Lakes. Rain will also develop over parts of the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes into the Tennessee Valley by Monday morning that will expand into the Northeast by Monday afternoon. Rain will also develop over parts of the Southern Plains through late Tuesday night. The rain will change over to snow over parts of the Texas Panhandle overnight Monday that will expand into parts of Lower Mississippi Valley by Tuesday morning. As the front begins to move off the Northeast Coast by Tuesday evening, rain will change over to snow from parts of Northern New England into parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys. Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning the area of rain changing to snow will move into the I-95 corridor. The rain will move into the Southeast on Tuesday continuing into Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, another front over West-Central Canada will move southeastward into the Northern High Plains on Monday and into the Central Plains by Tuesday morning and into the Great Lakes by Wednesday. The system will produce scattered snow over parts of the Northern High Plains on Monday into Tuesday afternoon and into the Northern Plains by Monday evening. Overnight Tuesday the scattered snow will develop over the Upper Great Lakes into Monday. A third front will move into the Pacific Northwest/Northern California, on Tuesday, that will dissipate by Tuesday evening. The system will produce rain over the Pacific Northwest and Northern California Coast on Tuesday. As the precipitation moves inland, snow will develop at higher elevations on Tuesday evening. Snow and lower elevation rain will develop over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region and into parts of the Great Basin by Wednesday morning as rain moves into Central California.
