A developing storm over the Northern Rockies/High Plains will move roughly southeastward to the Texas Panhandle by Thursday evening and to the Mid-Atlantic by Friday evening. A system over the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains will produce rain and higher elevation snow through overnight Thursday. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Plains on Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will continue over parts of the Plains and Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley on Thursday night into Friday. In addition, a weak front moving south over parts of the Upper Midwest will merge with the storm coming out of Texas to produce a front extending from parts of the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern Plains by Friday morning with a wave of low pressure moving to the Mid-Atlantic by Friday evening. Light snow will develop over parts of the Ohio Valley on Friday moving into parts of the Central/Northern Appalachians by Friday evening. Rain and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Ohio Valley to the Southern Plains on Friday. Elsewhere, above average temperatures will continue across parts of Southern California, the Southwest, and the Southern Rockies. Low humidity and gusty wind will aid in producing an elevated risk of wildfires over parts of the Southwest into parts of the Central/Southern Rockies on Wednesday. The wildfire danger increases on Thursday with a critical risk of wildfires over parts of the Southern Rockies. Additionally, low humidity and gusty wind will aid in producing an elevated risk of wildfires over parts of Florida on Wednesday and Thursday.
