Ridge over much of the central U.S. while keep temperatures much above average into Saturday from the Northern Plains to the Upper, with several locations only cooling off to the mid-70s during the overnight hours. A pair of low pressure systems along with monsoonal moisture curving around the ridge top will help fuel strong, organized thunderstorm activity.
