The remnant low of once Post-Tropical Cyclone Delta will continue its ascent up the East Coast today as it redevelops into a coastal low pressure system. Heavy rain and and some isolated thunderstorms will spread out across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast coasts through Tuesday. Meanwhile, another deep low pressure system will bring rain and scattered thunderstorms to the Midwest today and eventually the Northeast by tomorrow as it interacts with the aformentioned coastal system. The heaviest rainfall is forecast to remain mainly offshore except for coastal Maine where up to 2 inches of rain may fall through Tuesday. An active pattern will see rain and high elevation snow impact parts of the Northwest U.S. today and particularly tomorrow. A deep low pressure system is forecast to arrive at the doorstep of the Pacific Northwest Tuesday morning and dump a couple of inches of rain at low elevations and heavy snow at high elevations of the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies. An Elevated Risk of Fire weather is in effect today for parts of the Front Range and Central Plains as dry, above average temperatures and windy conditions continue across the area.
