A low over the Central High Plains will move northeastward to the Great Lakes by Thursday. The system will produce rain and snow over the Upper Midwest that will change over to rain overnight Tuesday. The storm will also produce snow over parts of the Central Rockies that will spill over to parts of the Central High Plains by Tuesday evening. The snow will end by Wednesday morning. The snow will produce hazardous driving conditions. On Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southern Plains. The SPC has issues a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains from Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The hazards associated with the severe thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gust, hail with some hail two inches or greater, and tornadoes. The shower and thunderstorm will move into the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley by Wednesday morning and into the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys and Lower Mississippi Valley by Wednesday evening. By Thursday morning the showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Southern Appalachians and the Southeast. Also by Thursday the rain will move into the Northeast. Meanwhile, another front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest and move inland to the Northern Plains by Thursday. Moisture will accompany the front as the boundary moves inland. The storm will produce coastal rain and higher elevation snow over the Northwest into parts of Northern California. On Wednesday, snow will move into the Northern Intermountain Region and the Northern Rockies. The snow and rain will begin to taper off on Thursday.
