The snow will linger over parts of the Central Appalachians overnight Monday. The snow will aid in producing hazardous driving conditions over the area. Also, rain will develop over parts of the southern Mid-Atlantic into the Southeast through Monday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Florida on Monday as well. Mostly dry conditions continue as an expansive area of high pressure sits over the Western U.S. Fire weather remains an issue in Southern California, where an Elevated Risk and a Critical Risk for fire weather and Red Flag Warnings are in effect. Air Stagnation Advisories remain in effect for much of the interior Northwest through Tuesday, as upper-level ridging and high pressure at the surface will lead to poor air quality.
