A Slight Risk of Excessive Rainfall is in effect over parts of Georgia and the Carolinas for tonight. Scattered to isolated thunderstorms may occur over the Southeast and Carolinas as well. Ice accumulations of around 0.1 inches are also possible over parts of the Central Appalachians tomorrow. In the west, a series of strong low pressure systems will produce heavy snowfall across much of the Intermountain West, while dumping plenty of rainfall over the lower elevations. Heavy snow will spread across the Cascades and Northern Rockies tomorrow as the first system makes its way across the region. Heavier snowfall will follow as another pair of systems approach the Northwest on Monday. We can expect snowfall to range between 1-2 feet for much of the Northwest mountains with over 2 feet of snow likely for parts of the northern Cascades.
