A weakening upper-level low over Texas will move northeastward to the Ohio Valley by Monday. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains and the Lower Mississippi Valley that will move to the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys and the Southeast by Monday. The WPC has issued a Slight risk of excessive rainfall over parts of the Southern Plains through Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rain over parts of the region through Sunday. The heavy rain will produce scattered areas of flash flooding, with urban areas, roads, and small streams being the most vulnerable. Additionally, the SPC has issued a Sight risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Central Gulf Coast through Sunday morning. The main hazards with severe thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gust, hail, and a few tornadoes. The showers and thunderstorms will expand into the Mid-Atlantic on Monday into Monday evening. There is also a risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Central Gulf Coast/Tennessee Valley on Sunday and over parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley on Monday. Furthermore, a quasi-stationary front extending from the Northeast to the Upper Midwest will produce rain over the area through Monday evening. Meanwhile, an upper-level trough will develop over the Northern Rockies into the Southwest by Sunday afternoon, which will deepen over the Four Corners Region on Monday. The upper-level trough will weaken slightly by Monday evening. The trough will help produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest into the Northern Rockies on Saturday evening. Overnight Saturday, wet snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies as rain moves into parts of the Northern Plains by Sunday morning. The rain will expand into parts of the Central Plains and Central Rockies by Sunday evening. Overnight Sunday, the wet snow will expand into parts of the Central Rockies, ending over most of the Northern Rockies by Monday morning. The snow will continue over the Central Rockies through Monday evening. Likewise, the rain will move into parts of the Southern Rockies and Southern High Plains by Monday evening. Elsewhere, a new front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest on Monday, moving inland by Monday evening. Late Monday morning, light rain will move into parts of the Northwest.
