A front over southern Florida will slowly move south toward Cuba by Tuesday. The front and onshore flow create showers and thunderstorms over Florida through Tuesday. After the boundary clears the state, the onshore flow will keep producing showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Plains will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and Central Plains into the Southern High Plains through late Monday night. On Monday, the upper-level energy will begin to settle over the Central Gulf Coast. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Western/Central Gulf Coast into Tuesday evening. In addition, onshore flow off the Pacific and a front moving onshore overnight Sunday will create rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest through late Monday afternoon. As the boundary passes, the snow level will lower over the Northwest producing higher-elevation snow on Tuesday. Furthermore, the coastal rain will continue through Tuesday evening. Elsewhere, a front moving over Northern New England on Tuesday will produce light rain over parts of the Northeast.
