Tropical moisture associated with IMELDA will bring showers and thunderstorms to the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast through Tuesday afternoon. IMELDA is forecast to stay off the Southeast Coast as the storm moves northward, then northeastward out over the Atlantic. Moisture and weak upper-level impulses will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Florida coast from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, a front over the Northwest moves inland to the Northern Plains and Northern/Central Rockies by Wednesday evening. The system will develop rain over parts of the Northwest and Northern California through Tuesday morning. Additionally, the boundary will also trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Basin and the Northern Intermountain Region through Tuesday morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue over parts of the Great Basin and Northern Intermountain Region through late Tuesday night. Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Plains and the Upper Mississippi Valley. By Tuesday evening, a second front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest and then temporarily pause along the coast through Wednesday morning. On Wednesday, the front moves eastward to just inland over the Northwest. The boundary will produce rain and showers over the Pacific Northwest Coast and Northern California through Wednesday evening.
