A shortwave trough axis shifts east across the rest of the CO/NM border this morning with ongoing snow over the Sangre de Christos with snow levels around 6000ft tapering off shortly after 12Z. ...Pacific Northwest... Days 1-3... An upper low anchors over the Queen Charlotte South today. A leading cold front and a weak surge of moisture into Washington and Oregon Monday will bring light snow to higher elevations above 5000ft, but more appreciable height falls move through tonight when snow levels drop to around 3000ft. WPC probabilities for at least 4 inches are moderate (>40%) to high (>70%) over the northern WA Cascades, the Blue Mountains of OR and low (>10%) over the Clearwater Mountains of ID on Days 1.5/2, and low to moderate over the Olympics on Day 3. ...Northeast... Days 2/3... A shortwave low crossing the Upper Midwest tonight/Tuesday and northern NY Wednesday.
