Probabilistic Heavy Snow and Icing Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 319 PM EDT Sat May 11 2019 Valid 00Z Sun May 12 2019 - 00Z Wed May 15 2019 ...New England... Day 3... A northern stream low currently over the Dakotas will slowly swing across the northeastern CONUS Monday night through Tuesday night. The surface focus will shift from the eastern Great Lakes to a newly developing coastal low south of Long Island on Monday. This will focus the cold conveyor belt into northern New England through Monday night and allow mountain snows focus mainly in this time. This happens to be nocturnal which will help snow accumulation. Snow elevation per the NBM is between 2000 and 3000ft which should limit heavy snow to above about 4000ft. As such the Day 3 probabilities for eight inches are limited to the White Mountains of NH/western ME. The probability of significant icing is less than 10 percent. Jackson
