Heavy snow across portions of the Pacific Northwest and the Northern Great Basin, Sun-Mon, Dec 
23-Dec 24.
Heavy snow across portions of the Pacific Northwest, Mon-Tue, Dec 24-Dec 25.
Flooding occurring or imminent across portions of the Southeast, the Central Appalachians, the 
Mid-Atlantic, and the Southern Plains.
Flooding likely across portions of the Southeast and the Pacific Northwest.
 
Detailed Summary:

A storm over the Mid-Atlantic will move northeastward to Southeastern Canada by Saturday evening.  
The system will produce 1 or more inches of rain over parts of New England and the Northern 
Mid-Atlantic Coast on Friday.  With the travel weekend before Christmas, the rain may cause travel 
delays over parts of the Northeast.  

Meanwhile, multiple systems will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest Sunday through Tuesday, 25 
December.  A plume of moisture will intersect the Northern California Coast on Sunday into Monday 
that will aid in producing an 1 inch or more of rain over the region.  The same systems will also 
produce heavy snow over parts of the Cascades Sunday into Monday.  With the travel weekend before 
Christmas, the rain and snow may cause travel delays over parts of the Pacific Northwest into 
Northern California.
