Heavy snow across portions of the Central Great Basin, California, and the Southwest, Fri-Sun, Jan 
11-Jan 13.
Heavy snow across portions of the Middle Mississippi Valley and the Lower Mississippi Valley, Fri, 
Jan 11.
Flooding occurring or imminent across portions of the Lower Mississippi Valley, the Tennessee 
Valley, the Middle Mississippi Valley, the Mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, the Southern Plains, and 
the Ohio Valley.
Flooding likely across portions of the Southeast.
High winds across portions of California, Fri-Sun, Jan 11-Jan 13.
Heavy precipitation across portions of mainland Alaska, Sat-Mon, Jan 12-Jan 14.
High winds across portions of the Aleutians, Thu, Jan 10.
Much below normal temperatures across portions of mainland Alaska, Thu-Fri, Jan 10-Jan 11.
 
Detailed Summary: A storm over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore over Southern California and 
dissipate by Saturday.  The system will produce an inch or more rain over parts Central California 
Coast.  Another front over the Eastern Pacific will move southward along the California Coast 
through Tuesday.  High wind will also accompany each system as high pressure over the Central 
Rockies and the associated low pressure over the ocean will produce strong wind that will weaken as 
the systems moves near the coast.  On Sunday into Monday heavy snow will develop over parts of the 
Sierras

A developing storm over the Southern High Plains on Friday will move eastward to the Southeast by 
Sunday and off the Southeast Coast by Monday.  Then the storm will move northeastward off the 
Mid-Atlantic Coast through Tuesday.  The system will produce an inch or more of rain over parts of 
the Southern Plains into the Tennessee Valley on Friday into Sunday.  In addition, heavy snow will 
also develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley on Friday and over parts of the 
Central/Southern Appalachians on Saturday.
