Detailed Summary: Deep low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes will move northeastward to the Labrador Sea by Tuesday. The system will produce heavy snow over parts of the Northeast on Monday. In the wake of the low pressure, cold air will move into the Northeast as a cold area of high pressure moves eastward from Great Lakes into the Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday. The cold high pressure will producing an area of much below normal temperatures from the on Monday into Tuesday. In addition, high wind will also accompany the low over the Mid-Atlantic/New England Coast on Monday. Elsewhere, low temperatures along the Central Gulf Coast will be the first time temperatures will be below freezing on Monday morning, therefor, a region of much below normal was put along the coast. A second area of low pressure over the Northern/Central Rockies on Monday will move northeastward to Ontario by Wednesday. The system will produce heavy snow over parts of the Central Rockies on Monday. As the low moves eastward, another area of heavy snow will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Great Lakes on Monday into Wednesday. The storm will also produce a third area of heavy snow over parts of the Northeast on Wednesday into Thursday. An area of heavy rain will develop over parts of Tennessee/Lower Mississippi Valleys on Monday. Additionally, a wave of low pressure developing over the interior Central Gulf Coast, on Wednesday, will move northeastward to the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday. The low will aid in producing heavy rain over parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast and from the Southern Appalachians to parts of New England on Wednesday into Thursday. In addition, a strong pressure gradient over the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley will aid in producing high wind over the region on Monday. Onshore flow will aid in producing coastal heavy rain and heavy snow over the Northern Cascades on Monday into Wednesday. A front moving inland over the West Coast will aid in producing heavy snow over the Sierras into the Cascades on Sunday. Upslope flow will aid in producing an area of heavy snow over parts of Idaho on Tuesday into Wednesday. Another area of upslope flow will aid in producing heavy snow over parts of the Northern Rockies on Wednesday into Thursday. A deep low near the Aleutian Islands will aid in producing high wind over the area on Monday. The low pressure will impact the Alaska Peninsula and the Gulf of Alaska streaming moisture in to Kodiak Island and Kenai Peninsula eastward to Yakutat that will have heavy precipitation in the form of lower elevation rain and snow from Wednesday into Friday.
