The storm will bring a wide variety of weather hazards to the CONUS. The system will bring heavy snow to parts of the Northern Plains and the Upper Mississippi Valley on Thursday into Friday. An area of heavy rain will accompany the associated front over parts of the Tennessee Valley, Southern Appalachians, and parts of the Southeast, also on Thursday into Friday. Cold high pressure over the Northern Rockies will move southeastward to the Central Plains by Saturday. Temperatures will be much below normal temperatures Thursday into Sunday over parts of the Rockies into the High Plains. In Alaska, a strong pressure gradient over the Northern Mainland will produce high wind over the area on Thursday. A series of storms will move across the parts of the North Pacific and move into the Gulf of Alaska on Thursday into Monday with a stream of moisture moving into the Gulf of Alaska Coast that will aid in producing heavy precipitation from the Alaska Peninsula to Prince William Sound. High wind is also possible from Kodiak Island to Prince William Sound on Friday into Saturday associated with the strong pressure gradient associated with the multiple storms moving into the area.
