Detailed Summary: A deep upper-level trough and cold high pressure at the surface will aid in producing much below normal temperatures from Friday into Saturday over the Southern Plains/Southern Rockies into parts of the Western Gulf Coast. A smaller region will also develop over parts of the Central Plains/Central Rockies on Friday into Saturday. In addition, deep low pressure over Eastern Ontario, Canada and the associated pressure gradient over Northern Michigan will aid in producing high wind over parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Friday. Additionally, a cold front extending from the Lower Great Lakes southward to the Eastern Gulf Coast on Friday will move southeastward and become stalled over the southern tip of Florida on Sunday. The front will aid in focusing moisture overrunning the boundary that will produce heavy rain over parts of Southern Florida on Tuesday. In Alaska, a series of storms will move across parts of the North Pacific and move into the Gulf of Alaska on Friday into Tuesday with a stream of moisture moving into the Gulf of Alaska Coast that will aid in producing heavy precipitation from the Alaska Peninsula to Prince William Sound and into parts of the Alaska Panhandle on Friday into Tuesday. High wind is also possible from Kodiak Island to Prince William Sound into parts of the Alaska Panhandle on Friday into Monday associated with the strong pressure gradient associated with the multiple storms moving into the area.
