Detailed Summary: High pressure will dominate the CONUS from Sunday into Thursday. A front will become quasi-stationary over the southern tip of the Florida Peninsula on Sunday through Wednesday with a wave of low pressure developing along the boundary just off of the southern tip of Florida on Wednesday. Moisture will pool a long and near the boundary producing heavy rain over parts of southern Florida on Tuesday into Wednesday. Lingering cold air over Southern Texas will produce a small area of much below normal temperatures on Sunday into Monday. In Alaska, a series of storms will move into the Gulf of Alaska on Sunday into Thursday with a stream of moisture moving into the Gulf of Alaska Coast that will start to wane while producing heavy precipitation from the Alaska Peninsula to Prince William Sound and into parts of the Alaska Panhandle on Sunday into Tuesday. High wind is also possible from Kodiak Island to Prince William Sound into parts of the Alaska Panhandle on Sunday into Monday associated with the strong pressure gradient associated with the multiple storms moving into the area.
