Detailed Summary: The strength of the pressure gradient associated with another area of low pressure over the Central High Plains on Sunday will aid in producing an area of high wind of 34 mph and gust of 58 mph over parts of the Central/Southern Plains on Sunday. In addition, moist return flow off the Western Gulf of Mexico will intersect a quasi-stationary front over parts of Texas that will aid in producing and area of heavy rain over parts of Texas on Tuesday into Wednesday. Recent rain and snow melt will aid in producing flooding over parts of the Northern Plains and the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley. Flood water moving south in the Mississippi River and recent rain will aid in producing flooding over the Lower Mississippi Valley through Sunday. Heavy rain over parts of the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic on Thursday and Friday will aid in producing possible areas of flooding over the region from Saturday into Monday. Over Alaska, low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska will aid in streaming moisture into the Alaska Coast from Kenal Peninsula to near Yakutal that will aid in producing heavy precipitation over the region on Saturday into Monday. In addition, the associated strong pressure gradient will aid in producing high wind over the coastal areas from Kenal Peninsula to near the northern portion of the Alaska Panhandle on Saturday into Sunday.
