Detailed Summary: Moisture flowing northward from the Western Gulf of Mexico will overrun a slow moving front that will extend from the Middle Mississippi Valley to the Southern High Plains on Monday that will move southward to the Western Gulf Coast/Lower Mississippi Valley to the Southeast by Friday. The slow moving front and moisture will aid in producing heavy rain over parts of the Southern Plains to parts of the Central Gulf Coast on Tuesday into Friday. Recent rain and snow melt will aid in producing flooding over parts of the Northern Plains and the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday into Wednesday. Flood water moving south in the Mississippi River and recent rain will aid in producing flooding over the Lower Mississippi Valley through Wednesday. Heavy rain and snow melt over parts of the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic before Monday will aid in producing possible areas of flooding over the region from Monday into Wednesday. Over Alaska, low pressure over the Northern Gulf of Alaska will aid in streaming moisture into the Alaska Coast from Yakutal to just north of Juneau that will aid in producing heavy precipitation over the region on Monday.
