Detailed Summary: A storm over the Upper Mississippi will deepen significantly by Saturday, while the system moves northeastward to near James bay in Canada by Tuesday. The system will produce heavy snow on Friday into Saturday morning over parts of the Upper Midwest. The snow will be wet and with some leaves on trees may produce hazardous conditions in the form of broken branches and down power lines. As the storm deepens, high winds may develop over parts of the Upper Midwest on Friday into Saturday morning. In addition, a deep upper-level trough associated with the storm will aid in producing much below normal temperatures on Friday into Saturday morning. High winds are also possible over parts of Lake Huron on Saturday into Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a deepening low just off the New England Coast will aid in producing high winds and heavy rain on Friday into Saturday morning over parts of New England. On Monday, a warm front will move northward out of the Gulf of Mexico moving into parts of the Western/Central Gulf Coast by Tuesday. Moisture surging northward along with the front will aid in producing heavy rain over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley on Tuesday. Furthermore, another warm front approaching the Pacific Northwest and associated plume of moisture will aid in producing heavy rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast on Tuesday. Over Alaska, low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska and associated plume of moisture will aid in producing an area of heavy precipitation from the Chugach Mountains southward into the Alaska Panhandle on Friday into Saturday morning. Another area of low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska will move to the coast of the Alaska Panhandle on Monday into Tuesday. Another plume of moisture will accompany the system producing an area of heavy precipitation over part of the Alaska Panhandle on Monday into Tuesday. On Sunday into Tuesday, what was once Super Typhoon HAGIBIS will become extra tropical and become a deep area of low pressure moving across parts of the Aleutian Islands. The storm will bring high winds of 50 knots or greater and significant waves of 20 feet or greater to the Aleutians on Monday into Tuesday. Ziegenfelder
