A plume of moisture will stream into parts of the Aleutians on Friday. The plume of moisture will move northeastward along the Aleutians into the mainland Alaska by Sunday and into the Alaska Panhandle and begin to dissipate by Tuesday. The system will produce multiple hazards over the Aleutians into the Alaska Peninsula on Friday into Sunday into Monday. The storm will produce an area of heavy rain over parts of the Aleutians into parts of the Alaska Peninsula on Friday into Saturday morning. The tight pressure gradient associated with the deep low pressure will produce high winds over the Aleutians into the Alaska Peninsula from Friday into Sunday. Similarly, the track of the strong winds over ocean will produce an area of significant waves over parts of the coast along the Aleutians into the Alaska Peninsula from Friday into Monday. As the storm moves northward, moisture will move into mainland Alaska aiding in producing an area of heavy precipitation over parts of the Alaska Peninsula into the Alaska mainland and as far east as Chugach Mountains on Saturday into Tuesday. Additionally, an area of high winds will develop over Kodiak Island into the Western portion of the Kenal Peninsula on Sunday into Monday. For the lower forty-eight, cold high pressure and deep upper-level troughing will aid in producing an area of much below normal temperatures over parts of the Northern Rockies and the Northern High Plains from Sunday into Tuesday. A front extending from the Northeast across the Central Appalachians then southwestward into the Western Gulf Coast/Lower Mississippi Valley will develop a wave of low pressure over the Western Gulf Coast/Lower Mississippi Valley on Saturday. The area of low pressure will move northward to the Western Ohio Valley by Sunday. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will pool along the boundary aiding in producing an area of heavy rain over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley on Friday into Sunday morning. Very moist air off the Gulf of Mexico will stream into parts of the Southern Appalachians on Tuesday producing an area of heavy rain. Ziegenfelder
