- Flooding occurring or imminent across portions of the Northern Plains.
- High winds across portions of the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast, Mon, Nov 18.
- Much above normal temperatures across portions of the Central Plains, the Central Great Basin, 
the Northern/Central Rockies, California, the Northern Great Basin, the Pacific Northwest, and the 
Southwest, Mon-Tue, Nov 18-Nov 19.
- Heavy precipitation across portions of the Alaska Panhandle and mainland Alaska, Mon-Thu, Nov 
18-Nov 21.
- High winds across portions of the Aleutians, Wed-Thu, Nov 20-Nov 21.
- High significant wave heights for coastal portions of the Aleutians, Mon-Wed, Nov 18-Nov 20.
 
Detailed Summary:

THE PORTION OF THE GRAPHICS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DROUGHT MONITOR IS NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO TECHNICAL 
PROBLEMS.

Deep low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Coast and strong high pressure over the Eastern 
Canada will aid in producing a strong pressure gradient from Cape Cod southward to just north of 
Cape Hatteras on Monday.  The hazard of high winds will be depicted on the hazards map for Monday.

For Hawaii, very humid air and upper-level energy will aid in producing heavy rain over parts of 
the Hawaiian Island on Monday.

Over Alaska, an area of deep low pressure over the Aleutians on Monday into Tuesday will aid in 
producing an area of waves 20 feet or higher meeting the criteria for significant waves on the 
Pacific side of the Aleutians from the Central Islands westward on Monday into Wednesday.  
Additionally, the deep low pressure over the Aleutians, on Tuesday, will move northeastward to the 
Bering Sea side of the Alaska Peninsula into Bristol Bay by Wednesday.  A second area of deep low 
pressure over the Northwestern Pacific will move eastward also to Bristol Bay by Friday.  One plume 
of moisture followed by a second will stream moisture into the Gulf of Alaska and associated 
coastline of the Alaskan mainland producing rain and snow that will meet the criteria for heavy 
precipitation over the eastern portion of Kenai Peninsula eastward to just west of Yakutat on 
Monday into Thursday. Overnight Thursday into Friday, the heavy precipitation will expand into 
parts of the Alaskan Panhandle.
