Detailed Summary: The passage of multiple impulse/jet energies in fast flow into the Pacific Northwest offers an emerging threat of some heavy coastal rains and inland elevation snows by early next week. Digging cold flow into midweek should also support the spread of snow increasingly inland, especially into favored terrain across the north-central Great Basin/Rockies. Downstream low/trough strengthening over the south-central U.S. may support deep lead Gulf of Mexico moisture return to fuel a risk of heavy rainfall/convection from the Mid-South to the southern Appalachians early next week. The potential to spin-up a well organized/deep low over the Great Lakes into next midweek would also offer a threat for wrap-back heavy snow over the Upper Great Lakes and areas with heavy rain and snow/ice to focus over the interior Northeast as additional Atlantic moisture wraps around the deepening low/frontal system. Over Alaska, strong flow around a deepened Bering Sea low will support early-mid next week heavy winds/waves and precipitation for especially coastal and marine areas from the Seward Peninsula down to Bristol Bay. Heavy precipitation will also spread through next midweek to Southwest/Southern Alaska as energy works into that region with downstream low developments and inflow. Schichtel
