Detailed Summary: A deep upper-level low over the Great Lakes, on Thursday, will move eastward into Southeastern Canada by Thursday evening while an accompanying surface low will move eastward across Southeastern Canada to the Canadian Maritimes by Friday. The storm will aid in developing an area of heavy Snow over parts of Northern New England on Thursday into Friday. A developing deep upper-level trough will develop over the Rockies into the Southwest on Saturday into Monday. The deep trough and cold high pressure at the surface will aid in developing an area of Much Below Normal Temperatures over parts of the Rockies and the High Plains, likewise, on Saturday into Monday. Upper-level energy and upslope flow will aid in developing areas of Heavy Snow over the Northern/Central Rockies Saturday into Monday. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over Northern Mexico on Saturday will move northeastward to the Mid-Atlantic by Monday. An accompanying surface low over the Texas Panhandle, Saturday, will, likewise, move to the Mid-Atlantic by Monday. The accompanying front and moisture moving northward out of the Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing an area of Heavy Precipitation over parts of the Southeast into parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and Tennessee Valley on Saturday into Monday. In Alaska, a very cold area of high pressure over the Alaska mainland spilling into the Gulf of Alaska will aid in producing an area of Much Below Normal Temperatures over the the interior mainland and South-Central mainland on Thursday into Friday morning. Upper-level ridging will begin to build in over the mainland on Saturday with the ridging extending as far north as the Far North on Sunday and Monday. The upper-level ridging will aid in producing and area of Much Above Normal Temperatures over parts of the Far North, likewise on Sunday into Monday. Ziegenfelder
