Detailed Summary: A storm moving into the Pacific Northwest will produce an area of heavy precipitation over parts of western Washington State and parts of the Northern Rockies on Thursday. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure and the associated front over the Middle/Lower Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys will draw moisture off the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday. The system will produce an area of heavy rain over parts of the Southeast, Central/Southern Appalachians, and Ohio Valley on Thursday. Next, the system will move northward into the Northeast, pulling moisture inland off the Atlantic over the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast on Friday and Saturday. As a result, an area of heavy rain will develop over parts of the northern Mid-Atlantic into parts of the Lower Great Lakes on Friday, then transitions into New England by Saturday. Furthermore, on Thursday, the pressure gradient associated with the low over the Mississippi Valley and high pressure over the Northern/Central Rockies will produce breezy conditions over the Central/Southern Plains. Moreover, the front that moves onshore over the Northwest on Thursday will move off the East Coast, producing light rain over parts of the Northeast on Monday. Hazards come back to Alaska as an area of deep low pressure moves just south of the Aleutians on Thursday and Friday. The tight pressure gradient will produce strong wind over the Aleutians into parts of the Alaska Peninsula on Friday and Saturday. Additionally, as the slow-moving area of low pressure moves into the Gulf of Alaska, moisture will stream into the coast of the Southern-Central Mainland. The storm will produce an area of heavy precipitation over parts of the windward side of the Kenai Peninsula, the Aleutian Mountain Range, and Kodiak Island from Saturday into Monday Ziegenfelder
