Model spread increases with the breakdown of the ridge by next
week. Although individual deterministic solutions agree with this
trend, chose to take the ensemble mean approach for the extended
forecast. An equal blend of the 00 UTC ECWMF ensemble mean and 06
UTC GEFS/NAEFS was used for the WPC medium range product suite.

A wavy surface front over northern portions of the state will keep
increased clouds and chances for precipitation in the forecast. A
couple of low pressure systems crossing the Aleutians will usher
in scattered to widespread precipitation to western and southern
Alaska through the middle of next week.
